John went to school in Wollongong NSW, in 1978.

He finished school and moved to the far south coast, where he went to work for his brother in law in the building industry in a little place called Bermagui.

This is were John learnt his trade, building new homes in and around Bermagui.

6 years later, in 1984, Johns brother in law decided to buy a fishing trawler, after one week of being on the high seas, John knew this was not what he wanted to do.

In 1984 John applied for a job working for a master painter and decorator, working for them for the next 6 years, achieving his master painter and decorators trade certificate.

In those 6 years, Johns boss became his painting partner and farther in law, when he meet his daughter – Kirsten, who became his wife and started their family

After an enjoyable 6 years of painting, John and Kirsten decided it was time to start their own business in 1990.

In 1992, John and Kirsten decided to move to Canberra with their daughter Anna, where John continued in the building industry and his business – Tuggeranong Building Service.

 

In 1994 their second daughter Emma was born and 22 years later in 2016, Emma decided that she wanted to work in the building industry with her dad.

Emma enjoys working with her dad and has enjoyed learning the trade that John has had success with for more than 30 years.
