This all came about as our client had noticed a strange smell and mould appearing on the walls of a bedroom in there home.
The cause being lack of maintenance to the shower recess! Water had been leaking through the cracks in the grouting for years. On this job, we cut out the mouldy section of gyprock, replaced the rotten timber and called in the specialist to treat the mould affected areas before re-sheeting the wall.
Treating the concrete slab prior to re-carpeting is also recommended, Mould can be a serious health issue!
